It is Olivetti's first portable typewriter and is also known as the ICO model.
Born from an idea of Adriano Olivetti and Gino Levi Martinoli, head of the Projects and Studies Office founded in 1929, the Olivetti MP1 was physically designed in 1932 by Riccardo Levi, with designs by Aldo and Adriano Magnelli. It is Olivetti's first portable typewriter and is also known as the ICO model.

Very rare Simplicitas typeface.
Good aestethic conditions: repaint has been done to consolidate the beauty of such old and rare machine over a too much ruined original red color.
Some minor signs and scretches, bottom plate with some painting signs. See pictures for details: photos are exactly what you will get.
Very good mechanic conditions: this machine is very well preserved.
Please note carriage return has a fixed height to large linespacing, otherwise wonderful typing experience. Cleaned and sanitized.

This beautiful little Olivetti is exactly as described. It works well, no sticky keys, and puts nice print on paper. I absolutely love the Simplicitas typeface. Also, the typewriter was shipped quickly, arriving in only a couple of days from Italy, and Christian was extremely communicative and helpful. He responded almost instantly to my initial inquiries about the typewriter. Then when I ordered it, I believe he packaged the machine within an hour. The typewriter was well-packed and padded with stickers on the shipping box reading "Fragile."
