Lettera 22: an italian legend, the symbol of typing,
Built in 1950 thanks to Marcello Nizzoli who has been collaborating with the Olivetti company since 1938. It is an elegant object with very clean and compact lines compared to the previous models. In 1959 it was chosen by a commission of one hundred designers from the Illinois Institute of Technology as the best design product made in the last 100 years. Won the "Compasso d'Oro" in 1956. Today it is part of the permanent design collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York.

The Most Beautiful Object —this machine has been so carefully tended & restored. It’s obvious that the seller really respects and loves these splendid things. When it arrived, I was amazed at how pristinely and carefully it had been packed for its overseas voyage. Grazie & Bravo!
